Artist Video Chat: One Work with Haegue Yang
Thursday, March 5, 2020, 6:30 p.m.
MoMA, Mezzanine, Theater 3
The Celeste Bartos Theater
Haegue Yang joins us via video chat to discuss the installation Handles with Stuart Comer, The Lonti Ebers Chief Curator of Media and Performance. The artist will share the story of how this work developed and answer audience questions from South Korea.
One Work is a conversation series that features contemporary artists talking about the stories behind one specific work on view in the galleries. Each program, moderated by a MoMA curator, addresses audience questions and offers insight into the artist’s process. Taking place on the first Thursday evening of the month during museum hours, the program includes museum admission, so visitors can view the featured artwork before and after the program.
Program length: 60 minutes
Program is free, but tickets are required. Tickets will be limited to two per person and available online starting on October 24. Physical tickets will be available to be picked up from the Cullman Education and Research Building starting at 4:00 p.m. on the day of the program. Ticket holders receive free admission to the galleries from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. on the day of the program.
American Sign Language interpretation and CART captioning is available for any public program, with advance notice. Please email adultprograms@moma.org to request sign language interpretation with two weeks notice or to request CART with three weeks notice.
