Barry Schwabsky is art critic for The Nation and co-editor of international reviews for Artforum. He also writes for New Left Review, London Review of Books, and Hyperallergic Weekend, among others. His recent books include The Perpetual Guest: Art in the Unfinished Present (Verso, 2016) and a collection of poetry, Trembling Hand Equilibrium (Black Square Editions, 2015). A cd of his collaborations with musician Marianne Nowottny was released as A Voice Hears You from Mysterious Places (Abaton Book Company, 2012). Imminently forthcoming is his new book Heretics of Language (Black Square Editions, 2017).
Alec Wilkinson began writing for The New Yorker in 1980. Before that he was a policeman in Wellfleet, Massachusetts, and before that he was a rock and roll musician. He has published ten books, including Big Sugar, The Ice Balloon, and A Violent Act.
Yoshi Wada is a Japanese sound installation artist and musician living in the United States. Born in Japan, Wada joined the Fluxus movement in 1968 after meeting George Maciunas. He also studied with the North Indian vocalist Pandit Pran Nath. Wada's works often incorporate the use of drone and are usually performed at very high volume, allowing for the overtones within the sound to be heard very clearly. At Greene Naftali he will present Yoshi's Sound Store: "Inner Ear is in Your Ear."
