The Hammer's curatorial department leads free, insightful, short discussions about artists in Made in L.A. 2020 online every Wednesday at 3:30 PM EDT.
This talk on Aria Dean is led by Connie Butler, chief curator.
Made in L.A.'s fifth iteration features works by 30 Los Angeles–based artists presented at The Hammer Museum at UCLA and The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens—two versions that make up the whole. The exhibition features new installations, including Dean's King of the Loop (2020), along with videos, films, sculptures, performances, and paintings, many commissioned specifically for the exhibition.
