La rivoluzione siamo noi – Collezionismo italiano contemporaneo is XNL Piacenza Contemporanea's inaugural exhibition, scheduled from 1 February to 24 May 2020. The exhibition presents more than 150 works, including paintings, sculptures, photographs, videos and installations by authors such as Piero Manzoni, Maurizio Cattelan, Marina Abramović, Tomás Saraceno, Andy Warhol, Bill Viola, Dan Flavin, from 18 art collections, among the most important in Italy, which transversally investigate contemporary movements, styles and trends.
The presentation continues at the Galleria d'Arte Moderna Ricci Oddi—whose premises are adjacent to those of XNL—where a series of works by artists including Ettore Spalletti, Wolfgang Laib, Fabio Mauri, Gregor Schneider, Pietro Roccasalva, dialogues with the masterpieces of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, collected by the entrepreneur and collector Giuseppe Ricci Oddi from Piacenza, which is a fundamental model of reference.
