Tony Cokes: Lecture

The Tony Cokes: Sound Systems series closes with a lecture in which the artist discusses his practice of reworking and reframing found materials. This practice includes both the collaging of appropriated text, footage and music in his videos, as well as his continual remixing of his own works. Cokes will focus his talk on 1!+ (a dupstep primer), which began as a lecture and playlist and was later reworked into a video with various versions. The fourth draft of 1!+ (a dupstep primer) is presented as part of Saturday evening’s Pop Manifestos Live Mix programme.
